To Dr. Laura: You are Not the Victim

Dr. Laura just made her big, novel, surprise announcement. To which I make my announcement, No One Believes You. She makes 15 million a year and is claiming her right to make a living is compromised by people not allowing her the freedom of speech. My livelihood should be so compromised.
I don't care if she ends her show or not. I do care that she is making herself the victim. That is offensive to victims everywhere. She claims her freedom of speech is compromised. But what about the people expressing their freedom of speech by criticizing her? Does her freedom of speech trump their freedom of speech?
Dr. Laura, Imus and Howard Stern have made a career of living on the edge of controversy. When they get cut by that edge, they are not the victim.
"The reason is I want to regain my First Amendment rights."
Can anyone that has ever listened to Dr. Laura believe that she has not exercised her first amendment rights? The problem is, when others exercise their first amendment rights she cries, VICTIM.
" I want to be able to say what's on my mind and in my heart and what I think is helpful and useful without somebody getting angry . . . "
Dr. Laura made a career by saying what was on her mind. Now she cries VICTIM when others want to hold her accountable for what she said.
Webster defines a victim as a person who is deceived or cheated. If anyone was deceived or cheated, it was the people who listened to her.
