Grow Your Hospice/Pain Clinic Through Gratitude
Saturday, November 26, 2011

If you deliver medical care to people who elude cure, take this challenge. Each day for the next thirty days, reach out and thank one person who sends patients your way.

"I believe that hospice organizations and pain clinics can grow through gratitude, " says Dr. Vicki Rackner, former surgeon, author and consultant promoting more effective medical team leadership.

"These health care professionals offer a tremendous service to their communities; unfortunately, they're tremendously underutilized because their value is not universally understood. The people who send patients already get it"

She recommends taking a moment each day to say thank you. "Send a hand-written note. Make a phone call. Take someone out to lunch. Tell them how much you appreciate their trust in you. Then watch the magic begin," says Rackner.

Challenge participants are invited to leave their stories on Dr. Rackner's blog. http://businessofcaregiving.com/?p=1068
