Groundbreaking New Movie is "Taking the 'Hell' out of Self-help"

Personal development movie producer Robin Jay announced details today for the VIP Red Carpet Premiere of "The Keeper of the Keys" - the first funny self-help movie. The film's goal is to empower viewers by "Taking the 'Hell' Out of Self-help." Jay is president and founder of the Las Vegas Convention Speakers Bureau and owner of TwoBirds, Inc

"The Keeper of the Keys" stars some of the biggest names in the field of Personal Development, includingJack Canfield, co-creator of the "Chicken Soup for the Soul" franchise and author of "The Success Principles," Dr. John Gray, PhD, relationship expert and author of "Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus," and Marci Shimoff, author of "Happy for No Reason," "Love for No Reason," and "Chicken Soup for the Woman's Soul."

The movie also features 15 brilliant experts from as far away as the United Kingdom. The experts range from ages 18 - 73 and include personal development speakers, coaches, and authors. In the movie, each of these experts share deeply personal stories of challenges, success, irony, and overcoming adversity.

"Ever since the success of 'The Secret,' Jay says, "most self-help films have followed the same formula of delivering endless sound bites from dozens of 'talking heads.' Those movies tend to feel like stiff documentaries ... and, even with a bit of a story line, they aren't always fun to watch. I wanted to do something more entertaining and compelling. For that, a movie needs to be funny. I think it's essential to engage the viewers before we can empower them. I believe we have accomplished exactly that."

Jay adds, "Director Scott Cervine, owner of Movies from the Heart, partnered with me to help create a unique experience for movie goers and a real treat for fans of personal development. 'The Keeper of the Keys' offers unique expert segments within a very funny fictional story that is based upon many of the challenges that people are facing today. In fact," she says, "many of my friends asked if the story was about them! I'm delighted to be able to bring this extraordinary, empowering movie to the public. I believe everyone who watches it will get something positive out of it."

The VIP Red Carpet Premiere will be held on Thursday, December 8th, 2011, at the all new Plaza Las Vegas hotel and casino in downtown Las Vegas. The red carpet ceremony will begin at 7PM in the casino just outside the glamorous Plaza showroom, where the screening will take place. The after party will be held in the Plaza's Triple Crown Ballroom immediately after the screening. It will feature a rock and roll band, dancing, and an appearance from Steve Connolly as Elvis

Tickets for the premiere are $100 each or 2 for $150, with VIP seating available for $200 per ticket. Also on December 8th, at 11:30AM, Jay will be hosting an intimate luncheon with Jack Canfield and Marci Shimoff at the Palm Restaurant inside the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace. A portion of the proceeds from the luncheon and the premiere will go to Volunteers in Medicine, Southern Nevada (www.VMSN.org.) Rooms are available at a group rate of just $25.00 Wednesday and Thursday and $65.00 on Friday and Saturday.
