Today, at 3:00 p.m. ET, on NPR's Talk of the Nation, columnist Amy Dickinson and Carol Bradley Bursack, founder of Minding Our Elders, will discuss the trials of putting an elder in a nursing home.

Carol Bradley Bursack will be talking with Dickinson about the process she is going through with examples from the differing scenarios from Bradley Bursack's life. Bradley Bursack will also be addressing this issue as editor-in-chief of Eldercarelink.com.

Over the span of two decades author, columnist and speaker Carol Bradley Bursack cared for a neighbor and six elderly family members. Because of this experience, Bradley Bursack created a portable support group, the book "Minding Our Elders: Caregivers Share Their Personal Stories." Her sites, www.mindingourelders.com and www.mindingoureldersblogs.com include helpful resources as well as links to direct support. Bradley Bursack's syndicated newspaper column runs weekly in print and online, she speaks at workshops and conferences and has been interviewed by national radio, newspapers and magazines. Bradley Bursack is a consultant who writes for several elder care Web sites, moderates caregiving forums and is the editor-in-chief of ElderCarelink.com. She is a contributing author to "Dementia: Frank and Linda's story: New approaches, new understanding, new hope." (Lion-Monarch, March 2010).
